On Becoming True Financial Stewards

Do you want to have a greater impact in your world but don’t know where to start?

I’m willing to bet you’ve heard it all before: That you should find your passion, follow your dreams, and discover your purpose.

(If you’ve been to an airport recently then you’ve seen the pictures lining the walkways)

We live in a world where we are told we need to discover these things to be happy. And it often feels like everyone else is succeeding. You see all the new projects or businesses starting up, or people having kids and how instantly their lives are fulfilled.

The common theme that we’ve found at The Wise Banker, is that people are driven by helping other people.

For example, the people you see featured in The Honour Project are about making lives easier and lifting spirits up by teaching remote villages in Africa about proper nutrition, by bringing awareness to mental health and suicide in teens, or by creating that special wedding day feel by making brides look beautiful.

So, when it comes to finding your purpose, have you ever said to yourself that you want to help people? That you want to make life easier in some way? That you want to make others happy?

Do you feel discouraged because there’s so much more you could do to make a difference?

The truth is that there will always will be more you can do. But the key to doing something big is to start with taking baby steps. If you want to have greater impact in your world, why not start by helping your parents, your family, your company, or local charity before moving on to the rest of the world?

Financial Stewardship

The greatest gift a person could give isn’t money, because money doesn’t last without the proper understanding of how to earn it, how to keep it, and how to use it. No. The greatest gift a person can give is love, because love will last for over a lifetime and will be the gift that keeps on giving.

As soft and cheesy as it might seem, love is the reason why we do things to help other people.

There are, of course, many ways you can show it, but if you’re looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of those you love most, you can always consider life insurance. Life insurance is simple, and it’s something you can do today that will make a difference for over your lifetime and for those who matter most in your world. At a time when creditors, bankers, and tax collectors are looking to take money away from your loved ones, life insurance is something that will protect them. It also happens to be the best teacher, teaching people how to earn, keep and use their money.

Life insurance can provide not just for the next generation, but for the one after that, and will be the gift that keeps on giving. We believe it is an honour and duty to be able to insure against death and, historically, we didn’t always have this privilege. Taking care of the finances you’ve been given today, for the benefit of somebody else, is true financial stewardship. We want to encourage you to discover for yourself how fulfilling it can be. Hint: You’ll be surprised!

Become a true financial steward and build a wealth that’s designed to last for generations.
